The pieces are slab-built, high-fired stoneware decorated with underglazes. Several employmishima, a technique which involves carving and inlaying slip. A common denominator in Jaffe’s pieces is her fondness fortrompe l’oeileffects such as disguising corners by carrying patterns around them.
